Martha Mier - Bio:

Martha Mier: An independent piano teacher in Lake City, Florida, Martha Mier graduated with honors from Florida State University, where she was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, the national honorary music fraternity.

In addition to her busy teaching and writing schedule, Ms. Mier has been active in church music and as a professional accompanist. She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association, the Florida State Music Teachers Association and the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Ms. Mier is a state and nationally certified teacher of piano through these professional organizations.

Ms. Mier presents workshops for piano teachers and is in demand as an adjudicator. Many of the solos and collections she composed for Alfred Publishing were chosen for the 1998-2000 National Federation of Music Club's Junior Festival Bulletin.

Ms. Mier has been a featured clinician at district, state and national conventions and was also a clinician at the Glover International Piano Workshops in Virginia for several years. Her composing talents have been highlighted in Clavier Magazine.
