Piano Town - Piano Method for ages 6 and up
Keith Snell began teching when he was 15 years old, under the guidance of his piano teacher/mother. Since then he has maintained an independent piano studio of beginners to advanced high school students. Mr. Snell received his B.M. and M.M. in Piano Performance from the University of Southern California. He is co-author of Piano Town , co-author of the Fundamenals of Piano Theory books and editor of the Repertoire books of the Kjos Piano Library Series , Editor of the Kjos Master Composer Series and producer of the recordings for both series. Teachers have enjoyed his insights about piano teaching in workshops and master classes throughout North America and abroad.
Diane Hidy is a well-known performing and recording artist. She is a former winner of the Music Teachers' National Association Collegiate Artist Competition and numerous other competitions. In 1987 she became the first woman to become a Beethoven Fellow of the American Pianists' Association. Ms Hidy performs on the CD's of the Kjos Master Composer Lib. and the CDs for the Repertoire Volumes of the Kjos Piano Library . Her recording, "Lullaby, The Journey Begins" won a Parents Choice Award in 2002. Ms Hidy attended the Julliard School and holds degrees from the University of Southern California and Peabody Conservatory. She maintains a piano studio of students ranging from 5 to"75".
